About the Image(s)
I was lucky enough to catch this Iguana as it was changing its direction on the branch, giving me this pose in mid turn. Besides the obvious crop, I worked on toning down the highlight area near the back leg and tail, and on the Iguana’s face. I also did a slight bit of burning on other areas of the face. I ran Topaz denoise and a very slight contrast curve which I applied selectively. Sony 400mm, f/2.8, 1/1600 second, ISO 640.

This is a very nice image, it could be published. I like the light on his/her dorsal crest. For me, the colors are what makes this image so pleasing. A tiny nip pick is to remove the upper branch coming in from the right side. The might simplify the branches. Reptiles are hard to capture, this is very well done.   Posted: 12/14/2024 18:48:13

This is a winner! What a lovely image and the light you have captured the Iguana in is perfect. I like the circular hook of the tail adding a majestic flow. Nothing to critique from me except you should enter this one in a competition.   Posted: 12/14/2024 22:50:42

The subject, light and action are wonderful! The crop is perfect. The position of the iguana gives him space to swing into should he choose. The diagonal (green leaves) and curved (tail, branch) lines add motion to the composition. The iguana's head looks a little soft. I would try to sharpen it a bit. The colors and background bokeh are pleasing. The "fingers", "toes" and their nails, and the bristles running down the back of his head are interesting details. This image catches my attention, and holds it.   Posted: 12/15/2024 02:57:08

The critter's expression here says it all, he seems so pleased with himself. I really like the lines in this image, the colors are enhanced by the light and shadows. The overall effect is interesting and pleasing to the eye. An awesome photo.

It looks like he actually posed for you and begged to have his picture taken. I love the colors in this image, and of course it si tack sharp as your images always are; but what is most impressive to me is the way you have captured the light. I have no suggestions for improvement. To me this image is beautiful.   Posted: 12/16/2024 14:58:14
