About the Image(s)
This shot was taken on a birding trip in New England. The story is that we heard an animal call from the top of a dead pine tree. It was a baby raccoon that had crawled up the tree from the next below and now was afraid to come back down. The mother, pictured, went up the tree, grabbed the cub by the scruff of the neck and pulled it back down. She shoved it into the nest, crawled in and then looked out at us. It was taken with my Olympus OM1 with a 150 - 400 telephoto lens at a 35 mm equivalent of 1000 mm. The camera was set at f/7.1, 1/1000 sec and ISO 6400.

Love the expression on the raccoons face! Also that the background is blurry but he is very sharp. Good Job!   Posted: 07/04/2024 18:45:48

I love it! The others have said it all and the result is super. I would hang this on a wall as a great memory of something you'll never catch again.   Posted: 07/27/2024 21:04:25
