About the Image(s)

This photo continues my exploration into abstract photography. I tried to come out of my shell with the boldest colors that you have seen from me.

The image was taken from the edge of a volcanic crater in the Canary Islands. The colors were already very interesting hues so I just increase the vibrance to the max to bring out this bright pattern of colors.

Richard, I think this is an amazing abstract!!! Would love to see the original. At first I thought it was large dabs of color or possibly even under water. Once I read your narrative, it really came to life looking over a cliff and into a volcano. The lower quarter is a great anchor for this image and the colors all blend beautifully.   Posted: 04/07/2026 22:45:42

Love this for a background. This can be backdrop for anything with adjustments to suit; or certainly stand alone in any appropriate competition. Well Done!   Posted: 04/12/2026 20:09:25
