This image was captured at a bustling craft show in Micanopy, Florida, a quaint little town known for its vibrant arts scene. As I wandered through the various booths, admiring the array of handmade goods and locally crafted pieces, I was drawn to a young lady who seemed to radiate the same vivid energy as the artwork around her. She stood out among the crowd, not just for her attire but for her presence??”her clothes were as brightly colored as the paintings hanging nearby, almost as though she had stepped right out of one of those canvases. Her cheerful, bold choice of colors mirrored the spirit of the craft show itself, full of creativity, passion, and a sense of freedom. The lively hues of her outfit seemed to blend effortlessly with the colorful displays surrounding her, as if she were a living piece of art in this energetic and eclectic atmosphere.
Image taken with a Nikon D850, Speed 1/25th of a sec, Focal Length 48mm, F/7.1, Lens was an Nikkor 28-300, ISO - 400.

Tom,
I like this image very much. Everything, including the vendor, looks to be suspended in air. The colors are vibrant and the items displayed are both colorful and interesting. The vendor was quite happy to be photographed as her expression shows.

Tom - you commented on my image in DD 67 so I thought I'd return the favor - your subject's facial expression makes this image, YOU NAILED IT! Having said that, I felt the artwork dominated the image thus crowding you beautiful subject. In my VF I wanted the vibrant artwork to feel like an extension of her personality (and love of color) rather than competing with her - would love your thoughts   Posted: 12/06/2025 19:21:08

Butch, thank you for your comments. Wish more people would jump out of their groups and comment. I like your crop 100% better. Far better!   Posted: 12/07/2025 17:14:50

You have baffled me again! I see what I think is light on the orange coat. I see a small shadow under her nose which usually means a flash was bounced off something above. The back ground is totally black. The colors are vibrant. I have no idea how you created this image. That makes it work for me!   Posted: 12/08/2025 21:38:33

Hi Richard, no flash, no magic, just a grab shot looking into a pop-up tent at a craft show. A little PS. Here is the original and thank you for trying to figure it out. Here is one of the originals.   Posted: 12/10/2025 23:41:03
