About the Image(s)
The back of our condo faces out on the golf course so I try to take advantage of the opportunities as they arise. I'm not thrilled with the background and looking for ideas for change. thanks.
AND TO ALL A VERY WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS AND A HEALTHY AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

Bev, you could get rid of the background but to me it is a documentary image and the background fits. Many golf courses are built around condos, buildings, etc. Your tight crop is good and I'm glad you got the ball in the picture. I think the trash containers and dumpster bother me more than the building and car. I too, live in a golfing community and have been trying to get a shot of golfers hitting the ball with it in the air. Not so easy to do!   Posted: 12/04/2025 14:37:54
Bev,
I did a little something to lessen the impact of the yellow trash containers and the background. I selected the yellow bins and desaturated them a little. I created a layer and then used the elliptical selection tool on Elements to surround the subject. I selected invert selection to highlight everything around the subject and proceeded to darken that area and introduce a touch of blur. I then used the erasure tool to erase the layer from the subjects knees down towards the bottom to restore sharpness in that area of the frame.
I think this draws more attention to the subject. I do agree with Tom that this is a documentary photo, and the background condos are an important element.

This looks like a good downswing position! Good downward presssure in the feet and the hips and shoulders have not released too early. Club is in front of the body and on plane and ready for release.
Yes, you may remove distractions and add a bit of space to the right of the ball. Looks like fun to me!

This is literally my back yard and whenever I'm bored, I take out my camera and sit in my air conditioned patio shooting through the glas doors. Thanks to all for the positive reviews   Posted: 12/15/2025 15:48:39
