About the Image(s)
"Jack" John Meehan was my first photography teacher. These images are a result of the influence he had on my ventures in learning photography. My husband and I were planning a trip to Europe and he, who had been "playing" with photography since high school, encouraged me to take a course. I did, at the local high school adult education course, and fell in love with the subject the teacher and the world it opened to me. Too bad Jack passed away too young and too soon, but his legacy does live on through his students.

Bev, I don't know if this is an image of a picture or a collage of many images of this photographers work that you put together. Either way I like it! John Meehan was an outstanding photographer. As an instructor he must have been a great motivator.   Posted: 10/05/2025 13:01:39
This is actually a collage of images I shot either when we were out together shooting or when I was shooting employing some of the "tricks of the trade" I learned from him   Posted: 10/05/2025 19:13:50

That is a terrific tribute to your mentor! Jack obviously inspired you to learn many new concepts and then you applied those concepts. Each of your photos is a moment that represented the memory that went in to take the photo. Behind every photo is a moment that mattered! Your story has inspired me.   Posted: 10/07/2025 11:08:45
