About the Image(s)
I know this is a strange image but it has done very well in competition. The lady was taken at Fantasy Fest in Key West, Florida and the elephant wall was a mural taken in Old Havana, Cuba. I sandwiched them together and did a lot of photoshop to remove some distracting objects and to make it look halfway real.
Shot with a Nikon D850 with an 24-70 F2.8 lens.

Well done! The woman and elephant are in perfect focus and great exposure. The glistening hair creates movement. The purple snake and green door contrast. These major elements in this photo are in juxtaposition which crreates interest. Your technique of combing the two separate images is really good. But how you imagine this combination is what fascinates me. Can you give me a shot of that stuff?   Posted: 12/06/2024 01:06:38

Tom, this is an impressive image. I admire your creativity. The woman put a lot of work into the makeup and "body" paint(??). Don't know if I could do that. So, I appreciate your sharing that capture. Sharp and interesting. Very good work!   Posted: 12/10/2024 19:34:02

Richard, Donald and Jamie, the story behind this image is that one of the Camera Clubs that I compete in has one required and 3 open images each month. The required for that month was creative. I had remembered the elephant wall from one of our visits to Cuba and then I happened to remember the thousands of images of body painted people from a yearly Halloween event (Fantasy Fest) in Key West, Florida. I was going through some of these VERY risqué images when I saw this woman. Sandwiched her in PS and thought it looked fair. I do not do much creative photography but this one has done very well. Fantasy Fest is a week long event where if you like photographing people, this is the place for you. Everyone wants to be photographed!   Posted: 12/11/2024 16:20:52
