About the Image(s)
This shot was taken at a market day in Urunga, a nearby town. Little kids were having a wonderful time making giant bubbles and dancing around to the live band. This toddler caught my eye with his face paint and serious intensity as he tried again and again to get what he wanted.
It was difficult to isolate the bubblemakers from their parents and the busy background. I caught the little guy with some space around him, even so I had to crop in a lot. I added Vibrance, a vignette and then Sharpness in PS on just the boy and his creation.

Nice image. Transports me back to a time when things were fun and a lot less work. The expression on the child's face is perfect and the eyes lead you right to the bubble.   Posted: 11/05/2024 21:36:29

I read somewhere that a photograph communicates to trigger a memory in the viewer. Thank you for joining me down memory lane.   Posted: 11/11/2024 19:10:23

Janie, perfect crop of a super image. His face is just precious and you froze the bubbles at the optimum moment. Definitely a treasured image.   Posted: 11/14/2024 00:51:58

Janie. great story in this image! Oh, those were the days. Were I to go out now and do the same thing, what would the neighbors think....??

Thanks for your remarks, Donald. Yes, times have changed. My husband can't photograph kids but I seem to get a good response if I ask the parents.   Posted: 11/19/2024 05:39:34

I like what you cropped from the original image. The composition is pleasing. I'd connect better with the young man if I could see more of his face at the level of the camera lens. If you wish to isolate the subject, a zoom/tele would add some compression to fade the background. Nevertheless the image brings me joy!
