About the Image(s)

Shot at ASO 125, 18mm, f9.5, 1/15 second.

I used several masks for dodging and burning in order to 1) give the sky more depth, 2) amplify the early morning light on the area below the peak, 3) lighten the cottonwood trunk on the left to better match the one on the left of the natural framing, and 4) lighten the lake water in the midground a bit to take what I considered too much shadow weight off of the lower 1/3 of the frame.

Very nice image, Susan.I like the framing with the trees and the rocks at the bottom although the tree trunks may have been cut a bit too thin. It's a nicely composed image. It has a nice mood to it. You did a great job with your processing of the image.   Posted: 07/08/2024 14:18:35

Hello Charles -

Thank you. I agree that more tree trunk would have improved the natural frame; however, the trunk on the right was pretty thin, and I was trying to balance the framing. I think there's a very good AI fill option in Photoshop, but I haven't dipped my toe into that pool yet.   Posted: 07/21/2024 18:48:50

A very nice image, the rocks on the near bank ,make it a very nice image over loocking the river and mountan in the background.   Posted: 07/21/2024 15:51:35
