This image was taken at the New England Camera Council Conference that ran for 75 years but is no more. This young lady was one of many models there for the conference attendees to photograph. They had four setups with professional lighting indoors and many setups outdoors. The 25 model would rotate thru all the setups. Photographers would rotate through a setup, take 4 shots then move on to another setup or get back in line. You couldn’t get a bad shot and all the models were excellent and they all knew way more about posing than I did. Most of the models were finalists from Miss New Hampshire.
Shot with a Nikon D850 in manual exposure at 1/200th of a second, F8, focal length 50mm, Nikkor 24-70 lens and ISO 64. Very little photoshop. Did crop.

Tom - what a great opportunity. It's sad that they no longer hold this event. The model is beautiful and I love the wind in her hair and her dynamic blue eyes.   Posted: 10/01/2026 17:57:19

Sharlana, Thank you so much for your comments. These young ladies made it easy. I consider myself a terrible model shooter.   Posted: 10/02/2026 13:23:21

Thanks Michael. I have hundreds of these models and each one is better than the other.   Posted: 10/02/2026 13:24:49

Tom: Very nice portrait. Nice expression on the model. I tink the skin tone is a bit too warm. The back light through the model's hair is a nice touch. I attended the NECCC a number of times. Too bad they no longer have it.   Posted: 10/01/2026 21:26:07

Thank you for your comments Charles. I will try toning the skin tone down. I really miss the NECCC. We use to live in the North East and would go every year. It was an amazing conference. I think it just got too labor intensive for all the amazing volunteers.   Posted: 10/02/2026 13:49:32
