This Long Horn image was taken out near Dallas in an open field during the middle of the day. Sorry I didn’t capture and of the images data, but I did shoot it with my Nikon z8. I removed the barbed wire fence and added accent to it’s eye.

Sharlana, this is an excellent Longhorn image! Like Keith, I usually prefer not to see the horns cropped, but in this case it was absolutely the right choice to draw attention to that expressive face. It really looks like he was posing just for you. The image is tack-sharp, the selective focus is outstanding, and the composition works beautifully. Nicely done! Posted: 07/04/2026 13:05:16

You captured an impressive animal. You have lost the detail in the whites. i suggest you decrease the highlights to get a little more detail. Posted: 07/08/2026 13:43:11
