About the Image(s)
This image Is considerably different than those that I’ve posted in past months. In our camera club monthly competition, we have a “Creative” category in addition to the usual color and monochrome categories. The “Creative” category affords the opportunity to do something different and fun with our images. This image was shot in the AKG Gallery in Buffalo, New York a few months ago. The original image is of a large sculpture of what appears to be pear or a pepper that is in gold with vertical rows of various sized black dots. The sculpture sits in an area that is along the glass exterior walls. I cropped out everything from the right-hand side of the image, duplicated the cropped image, reversed it and attached it as a mirrored image to the original cropped image. From there I applied Topaz Studio 2 filters. Then in Photoshop, I did some saturation. I also used Aurora HDR and Topaz Sharpening to finish off the image. This is not the kind of thing that everyone likes, but I find it a nice variation from my normal photographic endeavors. I’ll be interested in any comments (positive or negative).
