About the Image(s)
I captured this image during the annual Japanese Festival in Houston. I first noticed the large “Constable” lettering printed on the back of the person in front of me, and then I saw a man sitting inside the booth talking with the constable. Although I didn’t know exactly who he was, I guessed he was likely another law enforcement officer in plain clothes. I decided to take a shot that framed his face using the constable’s back as part of the composition.
The photo was taken with a Lumix G9 II and a Leica 12“60 mm lens at 1/100 second, f/4.9, and ISO 1000. Post-processing was completed in Lightroom and Photo AI (for noise reduction).

I see that the neck strap on the man seated in the booth says Japan Festival. The person behind him is apparently on the safety team because he is wearing a reflective vest and holding a handheld radio. This photograph makes the viewer want more information about the people. I am guessing this is a security booth where visitors are being checked into the event. This is a fascinating photograph.   Posted: 12/05/2025 20:41:19
