Neighborhood Fireworks in B/W by Jerry Hug, APSA

July 2024 - Neighborhood Fireworks in B/W

About the Image(s)

I used more than one local fireworks going off. I then combined them with Image Blender app. Used a little Snapseed for editing details. All done on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Quite a catch and process with a phone. Good contrast and detail. We can't beat color when it comes to fireworks, I can't get the same bang out of it. Ha ha!   Posted: 07/08/2024 19:44:33

This is where the phone comes into its own, catches this type of shot better than a camera I think. You show it off so well, and I love that guttering edge. Just adds something. Its a lovely shop.   Posted: 07/09/2024 11:01:20

Fireworks in B&W and with an iPhone, something unusual, but perfectly possible for Jerry. Well done.
I also like the angle of view ans the format give an impression of height.
There is a continuity in the shoot (of the fireworks) which is wel present in the picture. The smoke adds an extra touch to the picture.   Posted: 07/16/2024 23:44:36

Very creative idea to change fireworks into black and white and it works! It is amazing what we can do with our phones. I like the perspective of the shot as you get the neighborhood feel and the height of the fireworks. Interesting image and well done.   Posted: 07/17/2024 21:04:37
