Great atmosphere (sky, clouds, water, rocks and building) for a B&W picture. Good choice.
On my screen it is maybe a little too dark (special the dark part, the rocks in the bottom).
Did you edit the sky? There is some discontinuity (editing) in the sky (upper right corner)?

I really like this shot, Paul. It makes for an excellent stormy monochrome image. In my opinion, the dark rocks really make the shot. I agree on the clouds in the upper right hand corner, did you use some generative fill or something similar? That is something that should be easy to fix.

Paul, I know the Sardine Factory! This is a very nice monochrome image and I appreciate the contrast as it feels very moody, almost ominous. I like the composition as you see all the lines... the pilings and then the different lines of the wood on the building as well as the fence leading into it. I agree that something is a bit strange about the sky on the rigt side but that can be smoothed out. Nice image.   Posted: 08/09/2026 22:47:05

This is an interesting building in an interesting position Paul - and well presented here. Yes, the right side of the sky looks strange here, but the moodiness helps the scene. Dark cliffs add a base and helps to push our eye up. Lots of textures, shapes and tones in the variety of buildings and structures. Very nice.   Posted: 08/10/2026 20:44:04
