About the Image(s)
Prescott Hill Climb before the start as they are all lined upped in their Caterham and Westfield cars for their turn to attack the hill and score their best times. Just like the line of cars behind and the concentration on his eyes. The noise was great.

.and so is this image!! Composition, clarity, contrast, DOF (what have I left out?), exposure...ALL well done.   Posted: 12/10/2025 19:10:48
Paul - this is a classic case where mono is a thousand times better than colour! In the latter, the eye is drawn to the colours and it's not really interesting at all. But you mono really direct it's us to the first driver.
Depending on what you want as the prime focus, you could consider blurring the narrative on the rear of his car (as if you used a narrower depth of field). You could also consider lifting the shadows a tad for his face.   Posted: 12/12/2025 19:14:09

Paul, I really like this image. The composition is nice with the focused rider on the right third and then the blurred drivers behind. Works very well in black and white. Very nice   Posted: 12/17/2025 21:06:47
