About the Image(s)
I took this image in my basement while trying out a new macro lens.
Nikon Z8, 1/10 second at f/8.0 ISO 64 using fluorescent lighting. Nikkor Z MC 105 mm VR S lens on a tripod. This is a focus stacked image of 10 images using the Nikon auto focus stacking assembled using Helicon Focus software. Mono conversion done in Lightroom Classic I used Photoshop to eliminate straggling straw material.

This, IMV, is what B/W photography is supposed to be. Your use of light/shadow, texture, contrast, and composition is marvelous! This, is a good one. I hope you enter it in a contest.   Posted: 12/02/2025 22:40:58
Bob - classic mono work! Impressive! So much detail! The lighting adds to it. Well done and thank you for choosing this to show us.   Posted: 12/12/2025 19:06:29
What a cracking Monochrome Pattern shot, full of perfectly form shadows and lines. You have composed this well in the frame and the tones have been balanced well. Just nice.   Posted: 12/16/2025 14:20:05

Bob, this is a Clasic example of the strength of simplicity. Monochrome makes it even better. Excellent tonality.   Posted: 12/16/2025 22:17:12
