About the Image(s)

This is one of the original flour mills in Minneapolis built in 1874. The mill exploded in 1878 and was rebuilt. It operated until 1965 then burned again in 1991 leaving the stone shell. It is currently the home of the Mill City Museum.

The image was taken 13 years ago with a Nikon D800 and a 24-70 mm f/2.8 (at 44 mm). Exposure was 1/3 sec at f / 7.1 ISO 1250. The color version is nice but I believe the Mono version is much stronger. I have attached the color version as a reference.
