About the Image(s)
I took this a while back, 2008. We have been in the process of moving, so there was no chance to get out and shoot, so I went through some of my images and found this one, the conversion to B&W worked well.
Shot with Can 5D, 28-135mm at 28mm, 1/6th sec, f/4.5, ISO 800.
Basic adjustments, cropping, and conversion to B&W in Lightroom. That's about it.

Both versions are nice, but the B&W works well. Good idea to crop on the right.
Good job at 1/6th sec. The hand is not sharp but it gives an impression of movement.
I like the direction of the eyes. He has a public....

Interesting subject. It works well in B&W. I like the contrast tones in the subject. How would it look if the background was blurred a bit so the subject stand out more? The blurred hand distracts me.
Good luck with your move.   Posted: 02/14/2025 17:29:26

David, nice conversion to black and white. I think the blurred hand gives the feeling of movement, thus the strumming of the guitar. I appreciate the contrast that shows the various textures. I suggest leaving a bit more room at the top as the hat is cut off a bit.   Posted: 02/19/2025 14:25:44
