About the Image(s)

I took this image using the Nikon Z9 and 28-400 lens. We went to the northern CA coast for the Thanksgiving holiday and a couple of days the clouds were phenomenal. I took this in raw but with the monochrome picture setting so when I downloaded it, I had the color version as well. Settings were ISO 80; f/11; 1/125; at 28mm. I look forward to your thoughts.

I really like the great space of this picture.
With the stones, the cloudy sky, it is obvious to convert it in B&W.
However I have a concern with this format. I, personally, think it doesn't work well for such a landscape. I try on my computer (27 in) 3 different crops 16/9 (top, bottom & a little both). I had 3 differents great pictures and I liked them very much. Please try.   Posted: 01/13/2025 20:34:39

That is a lovely tranquil scene and shows off the area very well and makes me want to visit. (Never Will) The lighting is falling on the scene just right giving nice side light to the rocks. I love the loan walker on the beach and you even have his reflection in the sea. Very pleasing image to view. Thank you.   Posted: 01/16/2025 10:51:31

An interesting Beach Scene. I like your composition. I might suggest bringing up the shadows in the foreground more so that we may see the textures of the rocks. My eye goes right to the wispy clouds in the center. I love their movement. Then I see something on the left...the wonderful cloud formation, but it fights for attention with the center clouds, yet they don't fight in the color. Perhaps cropping a bit on the left and desaturating the clouds would help them compliment each other.   Posted: 01/17/2025 20:54:53
