About the Image(s)
This is a focus stacked image using three photographs. I did adjustments in camera raw and photoshop before converting to monochrome in silver efex pro. I then did more adjustments using the burn tool, levels, etc. I actually had to do quite a few adjustments and in hindsight, I should have used exposure bracketing. But it was an educational exercise. My settings were ISO 100, f/8 and 1/125. I used a tripod. I look forward to your comments.

There are some lovely texture and tones throughout this image and the dapple light on the tree is coming across well. The barn is nicely hidden but just giving us glimpses of what is there. The pile in front gives us the view it is active. I get two feelings when I view this, one I am waiting for John Wayne to come riding in from the right, The second is the back of my brain is yelling at me "More". I just would love to see a little more.
You say you have three images of this, have you tried to make a virtual copy of each, keep one at the settings it is, turn one to 1.5 stops under exposed and the other to 1 stop over exposed and then produce a new raw file. Then use that to work on. You will have a raw large than normal with a much higher dynamic range. All can be done in Lightroom.
By the way it is a very good image.   Posted: 12/15/2024 13:07:31

Paul, thank you for your comments. And I appreciate the information on how to work on the exposure with the three images I have. Thank you!   Posted: 12/16/2024 20:40:41

It needs some time to look at and to read all the picture. I like that.
There is a lot to see, and I agree with Paul, I would like to see more (More of the trees, the barn, ...).
This picture should be seen in big dimensions. I saw it with 27 in, Great.
Initially I thought a panoramic picture (with 3 pictures), but it is not. It is a fous stack of 3 pictures. For a pano, don't forget to take the picture in the portait format (and not landscape), you will have much more information.   Posted: 12/17/2024 21:15:36

Nice detail. I agree there is a lot going on, but that makes me want to look at the image longer. I think that your focus stack was effective.   Posted: 12/18/2024 15:38:06
