Kennet Basin, Newbury by Paul Hoffman

July 2024 - Kennet Basin, Newbury

About the Image(s)

Sony a6600 – Sigma 56mm F1.4 DC DN Prime ISO 400 1/3200 F8 hand Held

This is about 200 meter?150 yards from the high street of the town center and is well frequented by the locals for luch time breaks. It is part of the network of canals that flow around the country and you can travel to Birmingham from here. Very pleasant walk can be had and if you feel fit to hungerford and back.

Lightroom and PS with light adjustment with Topaz. But a straight shot from the camera as we were graced with a fine day, wish the car was.

The colors of this photograph are beautiful, and the reflections make it even more interesting. I like that the scene is both restful and visually engaging. This is a striking photo!   Posted: 07/08/2024 18:17:10

What a beauty!!! I love all the colors and the reflection. Just one thing, is there more to that sky? I would love to see it all balanced.   Posted: 07/10/2024 03:21:29

This is a captivating scene having a nice warm color palette. I like how you brought out parts of the clouds/sky intensity above and in the water reflections. This has a very relaxing feel.   Posted: 07/15/2024 15:07:40

Was this painting or photo from camera ? Amazing color and composition. The building at the back just like oil color painting. Nice shot Paul.   Posted: 07/16/2024 02:00:17
