Title: Farmworkers hut with a view
Equipment: Nikon Z7_II, Sigma ART 24-70mm F2.8 lens of a tripod. Focal Length 24mm, F11. This is an HDR Blend with Shutterspeeds used of 1/4s, 1/60, 1/250s. I also used a 3 stop graduated Neutral density filter in front of the lens.
About the image:
As I mentioned, I zoomed in a bit on this farmworkers hut (52mm). At 24 mm you see the whole farm. It created a nice scene for me .I used the neutral density filter over the sky and the HDR blend to bring out the detail in the clouds, snow and darker patched int he foreground. The images was shot in the “Swartberge” (Translated as Black Mountains) in the western Cape of South Africa. I just loved the house against the snow capped mountains

Under the HDR, everything seems to be very clear in detail, and the color seems to be soft and uniform no matter for the cloud or the ground.
And the most wonderful thing is, even though everything is clear in the picture, we can clearly see the snow mountain is hidden in the cloud. Actually it's partly hidden and partly visible, which made me want to pluck aside the cloud to see what exactly the snow mountain looks like. But somehow I'm not sure if everything is necessarily to be clear in a picture. Anyway, it doesn't feel bad and it's good to see more details of such beautiful place.
And welcome to this group!   Posted: 10/08/2021 21:47:14
If this was mine there are two things I would do, first I would remove that bush/growth bottom left corner, not needed and catches the eye. Second I would select the sky and clouds and then just brighten the landmass a touch and I mean a touch. If you use luminosity mask a lights 2 on a curves and lift the bright's and paint black on the mask over the sky and cloud. Otherwise lovely.   Posted: 10/15/2021 06:18:13
