I know this sounds strange, but your first impression for someone from England, this could have been taken in Hampshire or Wiltshire with their green rolling hills and Tudor large house and ornate lakes. Capability Brown did a lot of these with ornate trees rolling rolling down to the river edge.
The reflection is lovely and adds lovely scale to the image, this is a very pretty tranquil image.   Posted: 07/17/2025 08:48:05

Hi Paul, indeed many old European style building scatter in many location in Indonesia. As from historical Portuguese, Dutch, British come to Indonesia from ancient time. Thank you for your appreciation.   Posted: 07/17/2025 09:38:48

Hello Arief, thanks for sharing the picture of this peaceful scene. The blend of sky, a grassy hill with trees, a building, and the reflection of all the above in the water is a nice composition. Love the formation of clouds, forming a "halo" above the building. I like the small building just left of center between the trees; a nice counterpoint to the larger building.

Some thoughts:
- I'd like to see just a little more detail in the shadows under the trees on the left, and also in the reflections in the water.
- For next time: consider including more detail in the reflections in the water by zooming out or stepping back to include the tops of the trees/building (making the image more symmetrical, top-to-bottom). Alternatively, consider slightly cropping the bottom so that less detail is seen in the reflection (thus, calling more attention to the scene above).   Posted: 07/24/2025 16:18:29
