Nice detail. I would explore from different side in this location. What if I took closer to the swamp with lower angle to baobab tree ?   Posted: 07/11/2025 08:52:26
Valid comments. I have them as well. Other angle was a bit trouble some due to power lines, but this is about 500mm from the little pond   Posted: 07/13/2025 14:55:09
Your image does show off the dryness of the ground around the water and how important little ponds like this is to the animals that surround this. The tree looks a mighty elements in its surrounds and will be well populated at times.
You don't say where this is. The only issue I can see is the lose of detail in the white cloud. Otherwise a very pleasing image.   Posted: 07/17/2025 08:37:36

Hello Francois, this is a lovely image of a very dramatic tree - that is quite a specimen! The subject is nicely distinguished from the background, and the reflection in the water is a nice feature. I love the cool blue hues of the sky, a wonderful complement to the warm hues of the tree and the ground around it.
Some ithoughts:
- there is quite a bit of foreground (the gray area in front of the water). I might - suggest cropping up from the bottom to help bring the viewer's attention to the tree and its reflection.
- perhaps also consider brightening the tree's shadow in the water, to also help draw the viewer's attention to your subject.
Would love to know where this picture was taken!   Posted: 07/24/2025 16:16:58
