I took this photograph from (or near ??“ I don’t remember exactly where I was standing when I took this photo) the short bridge leading to the reconstruction of an ancient village on Lake Ohrid in Albania. You can see one of the village buildings on the left. On the right, you can see some other ruins. This is an absolutely gorgeous spot on Lake Ohrid that has incredibly clear water. We crossed the bridge and explored the buildings. This was part of a fantastic trip my husband and I took through Greece, Albania and North Macedonia with an adventure travel group.

I shot this photograph handheld with a Nikon D7200, f/11, 1/400 sec., ISO-400. In Photoshop, I removed several spots, slightly decreased the brightness, and slightly increased the contrast.

I understand the difficulty of your position. I would take wider perspective to include whole cabin in the left. Clear water add more perspective. Adding little bit contrast and blue saturation in my opinion will bring more punch on this image.   Posted: 04/14/2025 08:12:00

I like how you've captured the super clear shallow water and how the canal(?) curves out beyond showing the old stoned structures. You can actually see the boats' shadows beneath them, but I kind of wished that the boats weren't there. The colors are very appealing.   Posted: 04/16/2025 00:11:40
