About the Image(s)
This is the Conservatory at the Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania. I visited in October last year to watch their Winter Lights Show. While waiting for the show to start I roamed around and was just taken by the lighting outside of this Conservatory. I adjusted the highlights so that you can see the inside. I also cropped and straightened the image.
I took this handheld (I was not allowed to use a tripod), with ISO 10000, f/8 and 1/8 sec. I used topaz to sharpen and denoise.

I would have taken this image. Full of colour and joy to look at with images in images and you keep seeing different things. Some judges may say its to busy, but their brains are to slow to take this in. Its a joy of colour and math's.   Posted: 03/16/2025 11:09:43

Nanette, this is a lovely image. Love the colours the lights gives to the image. Only suggestion I would make is a slight ant clock wise rotation of the image to get the verticals straight

Nice composition image. The strength of this image was repetition of pillars, glass windows and color. The light on below pillar make it nice gradation.   Posted: 03/17/2025 08:22:58

That's a spectacular image. The lighting is fantastic. The geometric shapes in the windows with the colorful plants and flowers beyond them works really well to form a gorgeous image.   Posted: 03/18/2025 21:27:27

While growing up near Philadelphia, I haven't been to Longwood Gardens since my 5th grade school trip, so I'm way overdo for another trip their.
I like the use of colors here and composition, but I wonder if the bottoms of the columns are a bit 'hot' to somehow distract from the interior plant scenes, I'm not sure. A person, dressed in light colors, standing in front of that opening it would have great. Great capture.   Posted: 03/19/2025 02:28:57

Thank you Carl! I wish I lived closer to this place so I can visit more often. It's such a beautiful place. I will try cropping out the bottom and maybe a little from the right and see how it comes out. Thanks for the suggestion.   Posted: 03/23/2025 02:06:04
