This was captured in Queens, NYC from the 15th floor of a hotel. I was captivated by the skyline encompassing most of Manhattan. Used were Photoshop and NIK Color HDR Effect, and it's been enhanced to bring out the sky highlights with some added noise.
The camera was the Sony DSC HX400V, 27.15mm, f/4.5, 1/160sec, ISO 125, EXP 0, No tripod used.

When I look at this I get the feeling of the overwhelming fact of how small we are in the scheme of the world and how easily this world can bite back and show us how puny we are.
There is one of the biggest city's in the world and it looks minute compared to that one cloud.

Many thanks Paul for your appreciated comments and I you're right, that large cloud(s) really caught my attention and adds more to the image. As an analogy to your comment, I think of the size of planet Jupiter or the Sun to that of the tiny & almost microscopic Earth...unbelievable! :-) Posted: 01/21/2025 11:43:15
