January 2025 - Curug Sewu

About the Image(s)

Curug Sewu or Thousands of Waterfalls is in Kendal district, Central Java, around 446 Km from my home. I and my family travel there during the Christmas holidays last December 2024. This natural tourism attraction if very interesting. Visitor can see waterfall from the distance, come down to the top of waterfall, or going down to see waterfall from the below. There are cement stairs to go down, and yet, going up is challenging since it’s steep.
This waterfall is 70 meters high with three falls, 45 meter, 15 meters, 20 meters. In bright day, sometimes visitor can see rainbows in the waterfall. Unfortunately, December was rainy seasons.
I took some frames from different angles. For this January 2025 I would share this view.

Editing : using ACR in PS2025 I did basic editing such as exposure, brightness, contrast, shadow, highlight.

That is very impressive and must have been a wonderful site to see and hear. The moss and likin are abundant and would of been interest and good macro. I do like how this little tree is hanging on on the left and I may have included all of that if possible. But so well worth the journey and than you for sharing.   Posted: 01/16/2025 10:29:44

Beautiful capture, Arief! I love the vivid greens in the foreground and the misty background resulting from the waterfalls. I also love that there's texture in the falls rather than just a smooth silky flow because it somehow emphasizes the power of the falls. I can see you took this on a cloudy day. This must even be more beautiful with blue skies in the background. Great job!   Posted: 01/22/2025 00:49:27
