This was taken near the entrance of an old railroad tunnel. The sun was directly behind me and illuminating the entrance. I was surprised to see the texture of the ceiling and the walls. I was expecting smooth and cemented walls, but this one showed rocks that seemed to be glued together. In Photoshop, I used blends to bring out the color and texture. I also removed some stray falling leaves.
Taken with Canon R5, 24mm, 1/50 sec, f/11, ISO 1600.

I must admit I to am surprised this is a railway tunnel, The detail and texture are very prominent and the graffiti lifts the image. Not sure I would want to travel on a train through there. Did you brave it and walk in further just to see how bad it was in there? Posted: 01/16/2025 10:25:57
Hi Paul - actually I am mistaken. It's actually a tunnel UNDERNEATH the train track. Apologies for that. And so it is actually not very long but long enough for me as it gets really really dark somewhere in the middle when the way curves a little. Posted: 01/22/2025 00:40:52

Nenette, your capture certainly draws you right into the tunnel. The lighting accentuates the story and the exposure of the rocks and graffiti are perfect. I too am curious as to what the tunnel looks like inside and how deep it goes? Very well done. Posted: 01/21/2025 14:12:45
Hello Tom - welcome to our group! I am mistaken about this. It's actually a tunnel UNDERNEATH the train track and so not very long. But the way curves a little in the middle so it gets super dark somewhere there. Posted: 01/22/2025 00:42:55
