About the Image(s)
This was captured while strolling through Lower Manhattan about 2-3 years ago. I was captivated by the skyline, the iconic World Trade Center, and the dynamic sky. In Photoshop and NIK Silver Effect, it's been converted from color along with several other enhancements. I also brightened the light/lamp structure topping the tower for that extra punch.
The camera was the Sony DSC HX99, 32.2mm, f/6.3, 1/320sec, ISO 80, EXP 0, No Flash, No Tripod

I like all the lines I see - horizontal, vertical, diagonal. And I like the high contrast effect of the image.   Posted: 11/09/2024 02:50:50

I love all the angles and lines you captured. They invite you to stroll through the streets and see whats around the next corner.
The color tones work very nicely as well.
Great shot!   Posted: 11/09/2024 19:22:45

I love the idea of this image and the composition works, shame about the roof top works on the left as it breaks the clean lines of the image. The lines and shapes do lead you through the frame. The problem is the dark cloud, for me it compresses the image where I would prefer it to be more open. But that is just my taste   Posted: 11/11/2024 10:52:40

Thanks Paul for your comments. I hadn't really noticed the roof top works on left until now...thanks for mentioning it. The dark sky was the result of rainstorm, but I've darkened it a bit for visual appeal and perhaps you're right that it could be more open.   Posted: 11/15/2024 16:49:12

Nice black and white image. Your composition is unique. There is line, repetition, and contrast. The tower with antenna can be called "Dare to be different"   Posted: 11/13/2024 13:29:41

Your comments are much appreciated Arief, thank you. As you may know, the World Trade Center is the tallest in NYC, so far.   Posted: 11/15/2024 16:53:36
