About the Image(s)
This is a flower that was in my sister-in-law's garden that I loved the stamins in it. I'm actually not sure what the name of this flower is, so if you know, I would love the comment of the name.
I did basic editing in Lightroom and in Photoshop, I blurred the background a little.
Stamin Feathers
Lens: 90mm Tamron Macro
Shutter: 1/2000
F-stop: f/3.5
ISO 100

As I view your image Yvonne in my opinion there is very little in focus. You have placed the flower very well in frame.
Would you consider using F8 in a single shot which would give more detail in focus? In my view F3.5 would be a preferred aperture for focus stacking which would result in the flower being in focus.   Posted: 09/07/2023 02:21:41

Thank you for your comment, Frank! I mostly focused on the stamins in the flower. I will use f8 in the future to get the whole flower in focus though!! Thank you again!   Posted: 09/07/2023 02:28:57

Nicely done with your closeup. While it would be better if the lavender petals were also in focus, the eye is drawn to your chosen focal point and the detail is great there.   Posted: 09/15/2023 13:35:00

Rather than repeating, I'm pretty much agreeing with the previous comments.   Posted: 09/15/2023 15:27:11
Hi, Yvonne!
My eye is drawn to the crisp focus at the center of this lovely bloom.
From what I can determine, this is a wild flower, Tradescantia occidentalis (Prairie Spiderwort, Western Spiderwort, Spiderwort), that is often planted in gardens. Maybe checkout the images at the link below and see If you might agree?

Thank you so much for the information!! I will look at it!   Posted: 09/18/2023 14:06:14
Nice photo. Since the decision was taken to blur the background then I would have blurred it little more to make the foreground stand out.   Posted: 09/23/2023 09:27:20
Thank you for that suggestion!   Posted: 09/23/2023 13:18:32
Yvonne, this is simply beautiful!

I do suggest you remove your signature from the lower-right as 1. it can often interfere with viewer contemplation, and 2. in reality, the signature would be on the Matte, not the photographic image: as it relates to Projected Images, I suggest read Copyright rules and regulations for visual material ... it may help in comforting any anxieties with posting images online.   Posted: 09/26/2023 09:49:48
