Description: Taken in my front yard in July 2025, I used my D750 and an 80 - 200 f2.8 zoom for the capture. I cropped the image and darkened the background in post. I bumped up the vibrance and clarity when I imported the image into Elements. I sharpened the flowers but not the background.

Beautiful portrait of the lavender iris. The colors of the flower and the background are calming. The yellow center pops. Love the curves and texture on the flower. Good DOF. The details are sharp. Well exposed. Great job, Mary Ellen. Posted: 07/09/2026 21:35:35
