TULIP by Barbara Asacker

April 2026 - TULIP

About the Image(s)

I was pleased to see that tulips were available at the local supermarket
this week. The tulip was set against a white background in a
lightbox. A colored texture was applied over the white background to
add more interest. It was processed in Photoshop. My intent was to
achieve a high key, soft look. Are the tulip colors too faded? Thoughts?

Fabulous image. While there is a fair amount of detail in the tulip, it has a softness to it that is very appealing. I think you achieved what you were going for - well done.   Posted: 04/01/2026 17:12:30

I think this is great just the way it is. The balance between the sharpness and the colors right on.   Posted: 04/08/2026 15:51:00

To my eye this is a beautiful high key flower portrait. I find the soft pastels of the tulip and the foliage to be calming and delicate. Thad for sharing this one.   Posted: 04/08/2026 17:55:21
