Here is my submission for April. They are Peruvian Lily (alstroemeria) petals taken this past March at home. I used my Canon EOS R5 camera with an EF 50 mm F1.4 USM lens; ISO 200; F16; 1/4 of a second.

John, outstanding! I like the lighting as well and the composition is pretty strong. You are tight on the flowers at the top of the frame and on the left of the frame. Space along both edges would be good. Very good work and I appreciate your sharing this image!!! Posted: 04/17/2025 01:13:04

Your composition is inviting because of the duel colors of yellow and green. It is interesting that you have a fast lens, but elected to widen the depth of field to gain more focus with the slow shutter speed. Good technique Posted: 04/18/2025 17:29:20
