John - interesting image. Nice lighting, good exposure. The depth of focus is good and I like the darker corners in the frame. I did not find a strong center if interest in the frame, but this image pleasing to the eye!   Posted: 01/07/2025 20:19:11

John, I enjoy photographing flowers and your image caught my attention. I agree with the comment above. I hope you don't mind but I am including my version. I removed some of the white (buds?) distractions in the background as well as a couple flowers that were cut off at the edge of frame. Then in LR I added a radial gradient to a randomly selected area. I used this to lighten the area and hopefully create a little depth and direct the viewer to a particular area. Just a suggestion.   Posted: 01/12/2025 23:03:41

Dorinda, your adjustments did help focus attention. The subject is interesting.

By the way, I have no idea why I started my last message with "John". Obviously, I was mentally multi tasking at the time I was reviewing your image. Sorry about that!   Posted: 01/17/2025 16:27:52

Hi Jon,
This is a lovely specimen, and I think you've conveyed the delicacy of the blooms beautifully. I also like the modified version that Dorinda suggests because it draws my attention toward a selected area.   Posted: 01/19/2025 18:29:06
