About the Image(s)

The original was shot on a misty morning at the National Botanic Garden of Wales. It seemed a disapointing shot so I firstly cropped off the right hand side to concentrate on the three trees and their reflections. On a duplicate layer I moved into Topaz and used one of the sketch filters suitably adjusted. Back in Photoshop further adjustments using brightness/contrast.

Wow, Ian, I love what you've done to this image. My only suggestion would be to lighten the trees in the reflection a bit so they aren't competing with the actual trees above the water.   Posted: 07/02/2025 21:52:14

Ian, what a difference! From dull to vibrant. our reflection in the water does match what Nature does, usually it is somewhat darker that the items b ing reflected, so that doesn't bother me. I believe your final outcome is perfect and I have no suggestions for improvement.

I like the symmetry. Reflections are always good for a creative tweak, and you have done that. I presume you designate the fourth tree a bush!   Posted: 07/11/2025 18:47:59

Hi Ian, I like the pencil drawing, but I also like the arrow shape created by the landscape and reflection in the original. I might consider using it also for your filter. I am including a Poster Filter version from PS, a nice filter IMHO.   Posted: 07/14/2025 21:04:01
