I made the orchid image at the annual orchid show at the local botanic garden. The portrait of the girl was made at another time. I put the two together to create a unique image

Jan, This is very subtle and fits the creative definition n well I love your piquant facein the lower blossom. I'm not sure you need the top of the orchid, although it does make it all the more mysterious to find your lovely lady hiding down there. Nice work. Posted: 07/05/2025 23:14:39

You have combined the two images very well but have perhaps included too much at the top where darker colours are prominent. Cropping square and adding a keyline are my suggestions; I had a quick attempt, see below, and found that your image was already square but that was not evident.

This is lovely. Two suggestions - I don't mind the bit at the top but I would remove the blue pieces. Also I would soften the line where the girl's neck is cut off so she appears from within the flower and doesn't look like a severed head. Great idea, worth working on. Posted: 07/11/2025 18:53:34
Welcome Jan. I wish you had included both images. I like to show my ideas, as I cannot type, and struggle sometimes to explain things. I also wonder what your intent for the image was. What would you like in our comments?
I enjoy the concept of a face within the flower. It would be of interest to know your processing methods, too. I think Robin has the right idea about more blending. I might consider flipping the image vertically so that her severed neck would sit atop the red (blood.)
