About the Image(s)
I composited four images to create this one image that I thought represented the sparse vegetation that inhabits the Badlands of South Dakota. Usually, images from this area are concentrated in the beauty of the red stripped hills in the morning and light, but I wanted to show another side of the Badlands that give them their name. After compositing, I used several filters that created the color and look that I wanted. All suggestions and comments are appreciated.

I'm impressed that anything grows in a place where the word 'badlands' is part of its name. I think you have combined these images well and have given the picture the effect of a crayon drawing.   Posted: 05/12/2025 12:33:57
Thank you, Robin. I can see the effect could look as you say. Rabbits and rattlesnakes seem to thrive in this arid region and provide the food chain.   Posted: 05/12/2025 15:32:54
It is always interesting to look at the more intimate features of wider landscapes as you have done here with you three originals. Then you have gone a step further by compositing parts of then all in a most effecive way. Well done.   Posted: 05/12/2025 18:39:54
