About the Image(s)

I took a section of the staircase....made 4 copies and then merged the copies. This photo and technique was created a couple of years ago - but after seeing this month's journal I thought it would be fitting.

This is a fine image which demands careful scutiny. I can see other images within - a Lady in ball gown and a face with two eyes. You must have had both fun and patience working on this. I would suggest a keyline to hold the image together and perhaps toningdown the two highlights at the bottom.   Posted: 02/12/2025 16:47:23

Hi Suzy, Terrific job in creating an image that I can't stop finding places to look. There are endless areas that create interest for me. The color, balance and symmetry are perfect, in my opinion. It is a bit dark, but with feeling. I added a slight bit more color contrast, just for fun. You have created a memorable image.   Posted: 02/12/2025 16:53:21

Thank you! I'll have to go back and work on yours and Ian's suggestions. These are fun to make - this one reminds of an Art Deco piece.   Posted: 02/12/2025 17:18:49

A very striking image - well crafted, nice colours. However for my taste much too busy. I suspect I'm in the minority in this. Especially in Abstract-like pictures, I don't want to do excessive work to enjoy an image - and having my eyes constantly redirected, with no clear path I find frustrating - but, hey, that's me.   Posted: 02/14/2025 16:33:00

There is certainly a lot to see in this image. I love the manipulations you have applied. A great abstract, and like Ian, I see many things in it. Interesting how we humans need to see something we can recognise - even in an abstract. This would make a great A3 print.   Posted: 02/19/2025 11:28:49

I see an owl with big wings. Using four duplicates of an image and putting them together is a lot of fun. Possibly, the scratching sections could be replaced with some sod color or colors, which would reduce the busyness. I , however, do not think this is busy. I wold just suggest adding a few more colors. Your final product is quite lovely and I enjoy looking at it.   Posted: 02/20/2025 22:09:33
