About the Image(s)

Ogden Creek Cabin

I took these images in 2018 with my then Fuji X T-2, which is a great camera and simple to use. I combined the images in PSCC, from LRCC and then processed through Topaz for the final image. Not a true creative job, but I would like your feedback on whether you see areas that could make it stand out. Hope your holidays were better than mine. Happy New Year!

Unfortunately for me, it's not high on the creative scale.
When I run into an image that challenges me in making it into an Altered Reality picture, I often go to Gradient Map in Ps, and just play with different colour combinations.
See a version attached - did not spend too much time on it - likely better solutions available.
Hope your new year will be a good one.   Posted: 01/09/2025 16:17:23

Thanks, Gunter. I struggled this month to add an image. I like your version, and as soon as I recover my health, I'll retry to make this creative.   Posted: 01/09/2025 16:59:23

Thanks, again, Gunter. I worked on this more in PS and Topaz, and added several filter layers and style changes. As I stated in my comment on Ian's image this month, I wonder where all the photo manipulation will take us, PSA, and photography in general.   Posted: 01/10/2025 17:46:03

Bob, thanks for your contribution so soon after your hospital holiday. It is an OK image but you knew that as evidenced by your further work to add creative effects. Both are interesting. We need to keep exploring the tools available to us now.   Posted: 01/10/2025 20:39:41

Thanks, Ian, I do love to play, learn, and it keeps me younger, I think.   Posted: 01/11/2025 14:31:54

Compositing is nicely done. I had to look several times to see what was added because it all blended in so well.   Posted: 01/11/2025 02:42:36

I echo the views about the quality of compositing. First rate job. As far as I am concerned you have created a picture of something that wasn't there in real life. That's creative enough for me.   Posted: 01/21/2025 15:50:51
