About the Image(s)
The Marble Staircase and the Big Grin was taken in Greece with a Minolya 5D camera. I used Blending Modes to greate the image.

Gary,
I love your big grin and how you created it. I can't quite figure out how original 2 made such a simple combination with original 1. I would love to know what blending modes you used to achieve this. It looks like a building of some kind that was blended, not the colorful with cows original 2. Could you please clarify? I would be fascinated with the blending modes you chose. Good job.   Posted: 11/06/2024 19:39:47

Hi Gary,
Both original images are well done, and your Original 2 composite of what appears to be half Africa, half Lowlands, is not only strange, but like Joan, I don't see it at all in the main image. It looks more like an apartment or other building should be the O2. Ian can fix them if that is the case.   Posted: 11/09/2024 16:49:42

My image Big Grin was created with the Polar Coordinates filter in Photoshop cs6.
Here is an explanation of the process.
Open the image, make a copy and reverse it making a mirror image. If the image is horizontal select Canvas size and add the same sized image to one side. Drag and drop the reversed image on to the expanded canvas. Always flatten the image after making any change. If the final image is not Flattened the PC filter will not produce a round image. You will find the PC filter In the drop down list under Distort. Scroll down and select Polar Ordinance and hit Enter. Your altered image should show on your screen.   Posted: 11/09/2024 17:59:05

I suspect that the 2 Originals are not for this image.
Your altered reality picture is interesting - like your title. Also like the "teeth" made from the building behind. My only suggestions would be to remove the top of the building - personal preference.   Posted: 11/11/2024 11:05:06

The big grin would in my opinion work much better without the background which I find both distracting and out of context. I would be tempted to ditch the backgoud ans then turn the image to monochrome. Your original one is splendid image.   Posted: 11/11/2024 12:00:01

Sorry, but this time I like the original images much better, especially No.2 which tells a good story. A lot of that story detail is lost in your final image, which is quite stark.   Posted: 11/13/2024 15:12:02
