About the Image(s)

The original shot is of Aberglasney House taken in the spring of this year.
First job was to adjust the verticals on the house before cropping. Seeking an altered reality image I played around with the hue/saturation sliders and then used the Oil Paint filter adjusting the parameters to my taste.

Ian,
You came up with a very colorful final image which runs rings around the original, which is pretty bland. It now makes me feel cheerful despite the election loss last night to Trump. Yellow is always a happy color and it wants to make me see the inside of the mansion also.   Posted: 11/06/2024 19:31:02

Hi Ian, I really enjoy the image now. Yellow is a warm, inviting color and the whole palette brings joy and hope. Great image. I highlighted in magenta a couple of areas that I think need attention. The left side of the House leans right, and the bushes underneath the right windows are muddled. If those were intentional, it is just a nitpick on my part.   Posted: 11/09/2024 16:37:41

I like your painterly conversion - especially the colours you've chosen - very striking. As already mentioned, the left wall could do with some straightening.   Posted: 11/11/2024 10:55:20

You have certainly altered reality, with this colour! Not one of my favourite colours but that apart I quite like the painterly effect.   Posted: 11/13/2024 15:08:52

My first thought was it would make a great jigsaw subject!!
Lovely bright colours and I think better than the original!   Posted: 11/19/2024 12:34:51
