About the Image(s)

I took this photo in Aruba. It was an interesting island that has its own unique personality. There were all kinds of strange little vehicles along this road that I believe people rented. They were generally traveling along this road on the way to visit the lighthouse in the background. The island is so windy all the time that all the trees bend in one direction, and it has the dry look of the desert that I believe comes through in this photo. I do wish there were some of those bendy trees visible in it to complete the picture.

I like this vacation shot because it reminds me of some of my vacations. Showing the sightseeing vehicles in front of the destination lighthouse was a good storytelling composition. The edge of the pavement also reminds me of so many roads I've seen on my vacations. The scary aspects! Those clouds are such a good background!   Posted: 11/13/2025 00:04:02

Nancy, I like the line created by the vehicles with the lighthouse. It helps to guide my eye through the image. The bus gives the image a burst of color that complements the dry landscape. Nice job!

Did you happen to take any photos of the bent trees?   Posted: 11/13/2025 18:06:51

What a fun image...love the pops of color added by the vehicles. The three vehicles help lead the viewer's eye along the road and through the image. With vehicles going in opposite directions you can follow the road from the bottom right and upward or from the upper mid area down through to the right. The lighthouse almost serves as an end point for travel along the road.   Posted: 11/19/2025 16:30:59
