February 2025 - Bread - "Mmmm Mmmm, Good"

This was taken many years ago, but was the inspiration for my topic of “Bread”. Our church is famous for its baked goods: sticky buns, apple dumplings, molasses tongue cookies, mini cheese cakes, and these old-fashioned Dutch cakes. This was probably taken on auto-everything because Bob and I were busy working. But this image to make a poster announcing the sale. Sorry, I couldn’t find the original, but the only real difference is the text. Hungry, anyone? I can give you the recipe.

My eye is drawn so much to the text that I have a difficult time appreciating the baked goods through the forest of letters. If your church is still baking, you might try taking a shot without the text (or finding the original). Posted: 02/13/2025 18:27:23

I like the story and think image without the wording is very strong..the light is great and compliments the Dutch Cakes. They look so appetizing so you have done well to convey this. The crop is just right too. Posted: 02/16/2025 16:17:54
