About the Image(s)
I spent most of January on a ship traveling from Los Angeles to French Polynesia. My bread options were limited. I ordered rolls to my cabin and posed them with some $$$ bread on the veranda. I removed the distracting railed background in Photoshop and made other adjustments in Lightroom.

Very creative image..my husband had to explain the relevance of the Dollar bills! So now i get it and what a cool image telling a story. I guess you have creative options being on board a ship.   Posted: 02/14/2025 18:40:13
Money in the USA has been called "bread" or "dough" for some time. I think it harkens back to the term "Breadwinner" and the fact that bread helps sustains one's self. Years ago, people used to make their own bread, hence the dough reference. It is interesting how these slang terms pop up!   Posted: 02/16/2025 16:08:38
Thanks for the explanation..being British its good to know the American terms!   Posted: 02/16/2025 16:15:01
The reverse is true as well. My husband and I visit London whenever we can. We also have friends there. We might both speak English, but colloquial terms can be a challenge!   Posted: 02/16/2025 16:21:57
Yes our English also has its specialities! Good to know you like London! We go back often too.   Posted: 02/16/2025 20:34:02
