About the Image(s)

I photographed one of my peacock feathers and then put it in a longtime popular kaleidoscope app called Nception. I used my phone app. But then I put it in PHotoshop to add the border using Edit>Stroke. So many great examples online, including for videos!!! The pattens are great as a standalone photo or a background or for note cards, etc. You can actually take the photo using the designs instead of applying the designs afterwards. I bet you, too, could find a use for these designs from your own images! What do you think? Show me what you made!

I love the original photo. But I also love what you did to it.
The rippled patterns remind me of the ripples on a sand dune. The colors are more intense than the original, especially the blues. Just for fun I played with cropping to just two segments. Angling the image seemed like a good idea. Adjusting hue and saturation for each color individually was next. This is not criticism or correction - just being playful with a really creative image. Thanks for the fun. I think the blue is too intense and dark, but adjusting it just gave a washed-out image. Best left alone.   Posted: 12/12/2024 11:23:34

During the many times I have created patterns, I never thought of angling the crop! What a great suggestion!   Posted: 12/18/2024 23:22:40

I love the original too but what you have created from it is very nice and definitely a pattern that could be used for design purposes. Peacock feathers are always so beautiful.   Posted: 12/14/2024 23:14:23

Carole, I'm on the same page as the others. The original photo is great, and I love what you did with it. I never would have known it was a peacock feather. I find it interesting that Connie was reminded of sand dunes. I was reminded of a carpet from somewhere in Asia. The pattern is so striking.   Posted: 12/18/2024 22:40:21

Ditto to all previous comments. Interestingly, I did think of a feather when I first saw the image. I have never heard of the kaleidoscope app but it looks like fun! Something new to play with. Love the colors - and I like what Connie did with the angle perspective.   Posted: 12/19/2024 03:16:07
