About the Image(s)

My photography buddy, Elizabeth and I signed up for a 3-day photo tour on the Eastern Sierra mountain high desert with professional photographer, Jeff Aiello and our local photography store, Horn Photo. Jeff and his team shoot travel photography specials for PBS called Beyond the Lens.

Yes...I had to buy and new camera (not really) but I did. I purchased a Nikon Z8. We would start our day getting up at 4:30 AM for morning sun rise and continue shooting till late at night with this shot of the Milky Way.

While in the Alabama Hills we came across an area dedicated to the Japanese American's who were retained there during WW2. At 4000 feet above sea level there was a beautiful rose garden. Amazing how people who had everything taken from them still wanted to grow roses.

The sun was very bright, and the bees were very active. At least I got this one bee to hold still long enough for me to get off a shot.
