I was just having a little fun with an abstract look to this month's photo. These are pencil shavings.
I placed the carefully shaved pencil shavings on a whiteboard. I used natural lighting and shot the photo with my Nikon D850 and macro lens.

Lori - what a wonderful thing to do with pencil shavings. I love using pencils for subjects. This is specially nice, though, because they take the form of a bouquet. Very nice idea. -Melissa Posted: 07/11/2025 20:06:24
