I’m in another group and this time we were working on a blurred background. I thot I would use that here as my closeup. The statue was in a big park. I used my 12-40 olympus lens at 40mm, 1/60 of a second at f2.8 iso 320. It probably would have worked mebetter if the background was the same color.

Hi Ruth, I think this is a well done close-up and the difference in background seems to enhance the visual depth in the image for me. Your focus on the details of the subject are tack sharp and the lighting reveals some beautiful textures to me.

It's interesting. I always question a photograph of a statue. If it were me I would use the statue as inspiration and set up a similar Live Photo between 2 people. Kind of like a peace offering. You give me ideas of a child's hand giving a flower to an old hand. Posted: 05/11/2025 20:35:40
